Whether with ceramic image plates, sculptures or drawings and carvings in ceramic vessels - Britta Hansen is a storyteller who takes motifs from the inexhaustible reservoir of classical art and mythology, transforms them and reinterprets them. She loves the baroque, the opulently reveling, which at the same time tells the fragility and transience of the world under the magnificent surface. At times she also uses caricatures for her ceramic figures.

With her works, Britta Hansens dives from paradise to clouds and seas all the way to hell, often with clear criticism of how people abuse the world. Britta Hansen won the 2017 BBK State Show Schleswig-Holstein with her work "Heaven and Hell".
